You’re Probably Bronzing, Not Contouring—Let’s Talk About It
Have you ever looked in the mirror after doing your makeup and thought, Wait… why does my face look warmer but not necessarily more sculpted?
Let me tell you a secret—most people think they’re contouring, but they’re really just bronzing. And that’s okay! But if you’ve ever been confused about the difference, you’re not alone.
Here’s the deal:
Contour is about creating shadows and depth—it’s cool-toned, mimicking natural shadows on the face.
Bronzer is about warmth and dimension—it’s meant to add a sun-kissed glow, not necessarily reshape your face.
Most days, I don’t even contour. I’m all about that soft, effortless glam, so I bronze instead. It’s quick, it’s flattering, and it gives me that natural, warm look without overcomplicating my routine.
I just uploaded a new video on YouTube breaking this all down. I’m showing you exactly how to tell the difference, how to use each technique, and, of course, sharing some of my favorite products.

You know I’m all about intentional beauty—not just buying a ton of products for no reason. When I recommend something, it’s never just about the product itself—it’s about the technique behind it. Because let’s be real, you don’t need more makeup, you just need to know how to use what you already have the right way. That’s why education is such a big deal to me!
