Is the Dyson Really Worth It? Secrets to Perfect Blowouts
Why do salon blowouts always look so good, but when you try at home, you end up with frizz, flat roots, or just a hot mess? I get it—the frustration is real, but the good news is, you don’t need to spend $500 on a blow dryer or hoard products to get amazing results.
In this week’s episode of The Transformation Passport, I’m breaking down the biggest blowout mistakes and how to fix them:
1. Mistake: Starting with hair that’s too wet—or too dry—for your texture.
Solution:
For curls and coils: Start with your hair about 50% dry.
For fine or straight hair: Aim for 75–80% dry before styling.
2. Mistake: Overloading with heavy products.
Solution:
Less is more! Use lightweight products that offer frizz control, heat protection, and moisture. I enjoy Cecred Moisture Sealing Lotion (Not too much…a little goes a long way)
Question: Is the Dyson worth it?
Answer: It’s incredible, but you don’t need it! Affordable options can deliver incredible results, too. I want you to focus on great techniques like a good heat protectant, tension, and cool shooting each section after you after heat.
Pro Secret: It’s all about sectioning and tension.
Solution: Divide your hair into small sections, pull it taut with a round brush, and always finish with a cool shot for a sleek, polished look.
